GOVERNANCE
The Board of Governors, herein referred to as the Governing Council (GC), shall be the supreme policy making, governing and controlling organ for the internal and external actions of the institute. They will assign and delegate functions to the Senior Management Team (SMT) which will be the top management in the institute and will be charged with the day to day running of all the institutional activities. The GC is answerable to the Board of Directors of Pioneer Health Foundation that holds the trustee of the institute.
The GC members shall be nominated by the relevant stake holders as stipulated in the University and other Tertiary Institutions act 2001, representing the interests of the directors, the local Committees of the GC The GC may appoint such committees for its efficient functioning as it may deem necessary, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the GC shall have the following committees:
1.Appointments Committee.
2.Student’s Affairs Committee.
3.Finance, Planning and Development Committee.
The GC may delegate any of its functions or powers to any committee and shall prescribe the powers, duties and procedure and other terms and conditions of service of the committees appointed under this section. Any committee may include among others, representatives of the Academic Staff or Association, the Students Association and the non-teaching Staff Association.
